New Year, New Journal of the American Saddlebred

Published Date: Oct 16, 2018

The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) has been distributing the Journal of the American Saddlebred for decades. ASHA’s Journal, Breeder’s Guide or “Bible” as it is also known has long been a resource to American Saddlebred breeders and enthusiasts. The statistics and in-depth genealogy the Stallion Journal provides is a one of a kind resource for analyzing the breed in and out of the show ring.

As times change, so does our industry. Under recent evaluation, it has been found that the ASHA Stallion Journal has been drastically declining in advertising revenue and interest with the threat of being published at a loss. ASHA desires to be able to provide the 2019 Stallion Journal, and is working to provide more options and outlets to advertisers. ASHA understands the breeding market has changed and therefore hopes to offer private breeders more opportunities to promote their programs. To provide more options to potential advertisers, ASHA is allowing for all breeding service providers and breeding programs looking to market their young horses to advertise in the 2019 Stallion Journal. Also, all ads purchased for the Journal will have the opportunity to be on the ASHA mobile app for an additional fee.  The mobile app allows for video, websites or social media pages to be linked to your ad for increased exposure.

Don’t miss the opportunity to include your American Saddlebred stallion and Broodmare Hall of Fame inductees in the 2019 Journal of the American Saddlebred. To be included in the 2019 Journal, please complete this form and return it to ASHA by October 29, 2018.

The Journal of the American Saddlebred will be mailed in January 2019 to assist breeders in all their planning needs for the 2019 season.

Please contact Cynthia Lowell for more information regarding advertising your stallion, broodmare, stable, and/or business.
