ASHBA to Host Stallion Service Auction to Benefit ASHBA Half Saddlebred Futurity

The 2023?ASHBA Half American Saddlebred Futurity?Stallion Service Sale?will take place at Hollow Haven Farm in Versailles,Ky.Over 45 wonderful Stallion services from American SaddlebredDutch HarnessFriesian, and Hackney Horses are available at starting price of $500All money raised will be contributed to the ASHBA Half Saddlebred Futurity prize money program.This is your chance to support a great program and get a wonderful breeding to use as you wish with a mare of?any?breed. Appetizers and beverages will be provided and a cash bar will be available.

To participate in phone bidding,please contact Patricia Edwards at 859-259-3899 to provide your name,the stallion(s) name and your phone number before Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 5:00 p. m.Eastern Time.  

 

The 2023 ASHBA Half Saddlebred Futurity will host with an Open Weanling Futurity for?ALL?2023 Half-Saddlebred foals! Nominations are due April 302023with a single fee of $150 for the foal only.The sire or dam must be a full SaddlebredSimply register with the?Half Saddlebred Registry?and compete in the year 2023!?The Half Saddlebred Open Weanling Futurity will be held at the All-American Classic Horse Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis in September 2023. 

 

To add to the excitement,the Half Saddlebred Open Weanling Futurity will have its own purse of added money! The proceeds generated will fund the added to this year’s purse! 80% of the purse will be earned by the top 8 weanlingswhile 20% of the purse will be reserved for the stallions that donated their services and were sold for a minimum bid of $500and had weanlings in the top 8 placesAny part of the stallion’s 20% not paid out will roll over to the succeeding year(s) for the participating stallions. Owners and prize money winnerswill need to be current competing members of ASHBA.  

 

The Saddlebred over the years has been one of the most desired crosses for many breeds such as the Half Arabian,National Show Horse,Friesian Georgian Grande,and most currently,the Dutch Harness Horse! Now,with the Half Saddlebred Futurity,the crosses are endlessThe futurity will be open to crosses of all Half Saddlebreds and looks forward to seeing how crossing opportunity with opportunity will lead to growth and participation for all.
